30th November – Lighting the LFE Christmas Tree

The official lighting of the LFE Christmas Tree and associated celebrations start at 6:15pm.  We start with music and community singing before switching on lights at 6:45pm.  Following this baked potatoes will be served along with hot and cold drinks.  The tree is provided by the LFE Parish Council.

Please note that, due to the number of people and the Reality Bus being on site, there is NO PARKING AVAILABLE (limited Blue Badge parking ONLY).


3rd December – “Messy Christmas”


Messy Church at 3pm on 3rd December tells the Christmas story in an all-inclusive way!! The children play the roles of Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, and the kings with our leaders adult leaders stepping in when needed!

17th December – Christingle Service


Our annual “Christingle” service at 3:00pm on 17th December, celebrates the coming of Jesus, the “Light of the World”.

18th December – “Sing Christmas”


Many from the community gather at St Andrew’s to join in the annual Radio Leicester broadcast of “Sing Christmas”. Our gathering, starting at 6:45pm gets in the Christmas mood  with mulled wine and mince pies, thankfully provided by our neighbouring Sainsburys Local.

24th December – Carol Service

A traditional service of “9 Lessons and Carols” replaces our principal service at 10:30am this Christmas Eve by telling the story of the expectations and realisation of our Saviour Jesus Christ’s coming into the world.

24th December – Nativity Service


Children and adults alike come along at 3:00pm all dressed as one of the characters (or objects!) of the Christmas story.

24th December – Midnight Holy Communion

We gather at 11:30pm to welcome in Christmas Day with a service of Holy Communion.
